So here's something. . . .

With Labor Day ahead of us, do you want to celebrate with a nice, old-fashioned circle story? (I can see your heads nodding eagerly) Here's a set-up:


The school bus heaved itself to the front doors of George Washington High School. Inside was Lindsay, a Freshman. Not only was she fresh to High School, she arrived having been freshly humiliated en route. She was fresh out of cash which meant she'd be starving come fifth hour. Then there was the fact that her fresh, new notebooks were now ruined.
The doors of the bus opened and Lindsay stepped out.

"Hey Lindsay!" Pam called from the sidewalk. "How come you--"

"--Let's just go inside."
