First Drafts

I enjoy writing first drafts. Usually by the time I start, I’ve done character sketches, mapped the setting and outlined the novel. Sometimes I’ve written a few random scenes.

The first draft is unbridled creativity. It’s a time to get to know my characters, make new friends, create new enemies and discover what the novel is actually about.
